Many organizations, groups and individuals are concerned about the gun violence that plagues both our nation and the state of Tennessee.  They make statements, pen editorials and issue calls to action.

This information and these observations along with published research and studies are useful in gaining a better understanding of the issue as a public health and public safety concern.  Whether it’s the voice of physicians who see first hand the devastation of gun violence or policy makers who are frustrated by the lack of legislative action, their voices bring an important perspective and their ideas offer useful strategies for addressing the problem.

Television and media have taken on the issue as well, including the very important subject of safe storage of firearms.
