January is here and the 2019 legislative session is upon us! We have big plans this year and need your help. In the coming month, we have several opportunities for you to learn more about the issue of gun violence, how our state legislature works, and how you can get involved in the important work Safe Tennessee is doing! Educate to Advocate
Tuesday January 15th | 10am - noon | Cordell Hull Building
Join us to learn about our state legislature, how a bill becomes a law, how to track legislation through the legislature’s website, and our legislative priorities. This class will be held at the Cordell Hull building and will include a tour of the building, committee rooms, legislative offices, and the Capitol. RSVP for more details.

Gun Policy 101
Friday January 18th | 10 - noon | RSVP for location details

The Gun Policy 101 training classes will cover everything from the history of the second amendment and the NRA, to federal and state gun policy, to legislation we are working on for 2019, to the many different ways that volunteers can use their time and talents to fight for safer communities and schools. Open Membership Meeting

This will be our first membership meeting of the year. Join us for a preview of the 2019 legislative session, our plans to expand our outreach in 2019, and all the volunteer and leadership opportunities open to Safe Tennessee members. RSVP for location details.
