Tennessee Notches 80th Unintentional Shooting as 2016 Nears to a Close.

Unintentional shootings continue to plague Tennessee, even as lawmakers continue to pass laws allowing guns more places.

Earlier this week, we logged the 80th unintentional shooting of 2016.  A man shot his wife after mistaking her for an intruder.  He was sleeping and she was working in the kitchen.  When she returned to the bedroom, he shot her.

It was the 49th involving an adult unintentionally shooting themselves or someone else this year.

In all of 2015, there were 51 total accidental shootings – 27 involving adults.
